Position description
The laboratory technician is responsible for performing a variety of clerical, low volume manufacturing and processing, and other laboratory duties that include maintaining supply inventory, filing, stocking, receiving shipments, and cleaning.

Other duties include but not limited to:
· Performing various , non-routine materials manufacturing and test for special studies, circumstances, and investigations.
· Calculating test results and input data to generate standardized reports.
· Performing preliminary analysis of test results.
· Maintaining and assisting in the testing and calibration of materials lab equipment.

Qualifications
A minimum of AAS diploma or equivalent is required and BS diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Knowledge of laboratory functions, medical terminology, a background in science and at least 4 years lab technician experience is required. Must be organized, able to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment and possess good human relations skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Requires the ability to be attentive to details and to adhere to strict safety requirements for handling chemicals, and reagents.
